Body Talk Therapy

BodyTalk therapy works by gently, safely, and effectively restoring the body’s innate ability to heal itself. The goal of treatment is to bring every aspect of the body back into balance by re-aligning the communication between the body’s cells and systems. Once everything is back in sync, healing is facilitated and the body can begin to function optimally once again.

BodyTalk understands the profound influence the psychology of the body has on our health. Instead of focusing on the symptom, BodyTalk finds the underlying causes of illness by addressing the whole-person and their whole-story. The BodyTalk techniques provide insights to the areas of your body that need attention. What might seem like an obvious problem to you is not necessarily the one your body wants to address first.

This is the beauty of BodyTalk. It respects the body's own needs and determines your body's priorities for healing. Then with the use of a variety of non-invasive techniques, BodyTalkers refocus your body's natural healing response to establish better communication within the body.

What to expect

BodyTalk sessions are designed to make you feel safe, relaxed, and comfortable. Your session will typically start with the practitioner asking about your health, and discussing any specific problems or concerns that you want to address in treatment. BodyTalk sessions typically last anywhere from 30 to 45 minutes and start with 15 minutes introduction.

Following the preliminary discussion, the therapist will have you either lie down (on your back), on a treatment table or sit comfortably in a chair. There is no need to disrobe for this treatment. The practitioner will usually conduct muscle testing at this point – which involves a gentle touch to your arm or hand – to “consult” with your body in terms of what problems need to be addressed during the session. Any touch involved in the BodyTalk techniques is both gentle and non-invasive.
