Yoga for Anxiety and Depression- Part 1: Becoming the Witness

This first class will discuss: Our capacity to receive, appraise and respond to signals and sensations in the body is KEY to emotional well-being. When we are able to become more comfortable with the ever-changing inner landscape, it starts to feel more like “home.” Neuroscience shows that this visceral intelligence translates to emotional resilience in the brain.

Qi Gong Workshop & Tea Tasting

Qi Gong is an ancient practice deeply rooted in Chinese history and tradition. It is the spiritual practice out of which Tai Chi and all martial arts evolved. The name Qi Gong (pronounced “chee gong”) translates roughly as “energy cultivation”. The practice acknowledges that we exist in a sea of charged particles and it invites us to very deliberately gather that abundance and direct it internally.

Join Katie Fly for this Qi Gong workshop followed by a unique tea tasting with Robin's House of Tea.

Through the practice of Qi Gong we increase our own vital life force and we also ensure it’s smooth flow within. The practice involves gentle movement in combination with breath and intention to yield a simple yet powerful form of self care which you can easily learn and apply to your own health. Benefits of regular practice include increased energy, a greater sense of ease, improved mental clarity, increased resistance to disease and more robust resilience to mental emotional and physical stress.

During this class you will learn ways to incorporate Qi-Gong into your meditation practice and how traditional tea compliments your practice!
